The National Trust

The National Trust is a charity We work to preserve and protect the buildings, countryside and coastline of England, Wales and Northern Ireland through practical conservation, learning and discovery, and encouraging everyone to visit and enjoy their national heritage. We educate people about the importance of preserving our heritage and environment for future generations, we contribute to important debates over the future of the economy, the development of people’s skills and sense of community, and the quality of the local environment. We care for over 349 historic houses, gardens and industrial monuments and mills. We look after forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, downs, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, villages - for ever, for everyone
